The Moultonborough Women’s Club participated in its first cooking class as local pastry chef, Jennifer Clifford, turned personal ZOOM instructor for our December meeting, taught the group the art of French Macarons. As head baker at Moultonborough’s Cup and Crumb since 2015, Jen has had much experience in the field and in 2019 showed off her baking skills on the Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship. She spoke of the auditioning process, travelling to Los Angeles and being filmed in the Holiday competition, as she shared her recipe and many baking tips for perfecting these delectable treats. Asked if we would again see her on the Food Network, she smiled and said she would like to. A big thank you to Jen for such an enjoyable meeting.

Deb Kumpf updated the club’s Making Strides figures; this year our walkers collected donations of $3,587.84. To date the MWC has raised $141,171.84 walking for the American Cancer Society. Congrats to the ladies who through the years have worked so diligently for this cause; your efforts have truly paid off.
